yeah i've been reading up on the velair and the southbound. And thanks for the input. Do you tune the 6.4 with a SCT like the 6.0's or does it have a newer set up? i see guys talking about 350 or some tunes like that, i didn't know if that was different?
still 4 a cylinder?? i read that there was 6 and it was holding up better. hm and yeah he's not touching this one. I was planning on getting rid of the EGR, *** and go for a 4inch exhaust. Any other bad stuff to get rid of?
Okay guys, I used to own 2007 6.0L that decided to blow up one to many times. :biggun: So I am now the proud owner of a 2008 6.4L! Its bone stock right now with 96,000 miles on it. It is also a manual which i'm digging a lot. I'm looking to start modifying it but don't want another 6.0 problem...
i just put the s362fmw in my 2007 with Maryland performance diesel's t4 up pipes and really like the set up with Innovatives extreme x. Runs great with stock injectors. I want to do the tranny next though before 190/100s.
I'd watch your coolant levels pretty closely then cause it took about a month for mine to blow and about 2 months for a friend of mines. I also worked on these trucks for a while and it was a very common occurrence.
i run a Powermax on my 07. Its a good little turbo for replacing the stocker and has a very noticable whistle but he will definitely need headstuds and revised tunes. we ran mine with no tunes and could barely get it moving, it was bad. With tunes and that turbo he will blow the heads pretty...
