I really haven’t had bad luck with other Motorcraft parts, other than an icp sensor a couple of years back. I went ahead and just replaced the water pump with an oem motorcraft. I figured the job is so simple I might as well save the extra cost of the bpd pump and put it into something else... -

No. I actually had issues with a kdd long block and had to get studs again and went to Powerstroke products head too. I did have issues with fan clutches a while back and swapped a few. It may have been something to do with constantly swapping the clutch’s and breaking the clutch loose. Not... -

Looks I’m going to change out a water pump again. I’ve always used oem Motorcraft pumps, but they seem to only last 2-3 years. I’ve never had an impeller break, just leaks from the bearing. Are the bpd pumps that much better? -

6.0 oil questions
I’ll post details when I reach my 5k oci. I know it’s a different platform that uses the oil differently, but I run 5k on my 19, and the lowest viscosity I’ve seen is 12.81 at 100C. Not bad at all considering it starts out at 13.50-15.00. -

I went ahead and ran the 5w40 schaeffers otr. I’ll probably send in a sample once I hit 5k, my normal oci. We dipped down to 18F and it does crank quicker. Other than that, no other noticeable changes. I wanted to run 5w40 since I use it in my 6.7s and backhoe. That way I only need to buy one... -

Got a question. I run a kdd stage 1 long block in my 06. I’ve ran nothing but schaeffers 15w40 since it’s been broken in. I’ve been wondering if anyone runs a 5w40 or 10w30 in this particular engine? Kdd recommends schaeffers 15w40, but is there a particular reason for it? I know several... -

Cruising on level ground at 75mph I get 33.5 psi, light acceleration 40-45, hard acceleration in 6th I get 47. These values are off the scangauge. -

Yeah. It may be a boost leak. The problem is only noticeable when towing. I had replaced the up pipes with the bd kit a few years back, so hopefully it’s not an exhaust leak. I dont hear anything, then again the truck is pretty loud so maybe it’s masking the sound. I’m going to try and make time... -

No cooler, and fuel pressure is always around 74psi, and dips to 62-63 psi on a hard run. I have an air dog 100, blue spring, and a healthy hfcm. I did the boost leak test about a year ago, and I’m sure it was done again at tsd 3-4 months ago when I had to get a set of studs and went ahead and... -

I didn’t have a chance to fool with the scan gauge and add pids, but did monitor data. Using the scangauge, measuring in psi, I get 50.5-53.2 on hard acceleration. The other values I get are pretty much spot on with the provided data from bismic. -
