That seems to be what I'm seeing...at least the 6.0s were usually something I could manage in my driveway! Things were a bit of a PITA, but they were doable. From reading on here it seems if the up pipes leak either the cab has to be pulled or the tranny pulled to get to them. I love the Ford... -

I've sold my last 6.0 truck and am in the market for another truck. I've been reading in the 6.4 section the last couple of days and have mixed feelings about the 6.4. I really don't want another 6.0, but the 6.4 seems as bad if not worse. Are they really that bad? I'm looking at an 08 ECSB... -

Found something interesting today on the way home from work. If I did a WOT blast the noise went away for a little bit. I'd lay into it and accelerate from 20 or so up to 80+ then slow down. As I started to accelerate normally again the noise wouldn't be there. It would come back in a mile or... -

6.0 problem even worse
I had this same thing happen to me. Mine was a bad ICP sensor. You could unplug it when you're having the problem and see if it makes a difference. -

The y-pipe has upgraded bellows from a vendor on here, so I don't think those are the issue this time. I've had them out several times but I've thought that if the downpipe was not there it would be easier to get the y-pipe to delete pipe nuts and bolts tight and properly aligned. I'm not sure if my delete pipe is bent wrong or if the y-pipe just doesn't fit worth a $hit, but they are always... -

How is the best way to get exhaust pipes apart? I've got another exhaust leak in/around the up pipes, I suspect the delete pipe section is the issue as it didn't fit well when installed. I'd like to get my downpipe out to make more room but don't want to cut it out. My exhaust uses band style... -

Up pipes or turbo?
I fought that noise for weeks, finally replaced up pipes and fixed it. Mine weren't showing any signs of soot either, but they were definitely leaking at the bellows. -
