I've only heard bad things about the dorman uvch. I strictly use the motorcraft one though there may be others that are worthwhile, but not the dorman.- fastersteve

Have you checked the downpipe coming off the turbo for oil? Mine did that when the turbo started pushing oil out of the turbine seal.- fastersteve

Irregular idle revving up and down VIDEO & Update!
How are the batteries? Every time I've seen crazy codes like that, one of them has died. These trucks are very sensitive to low voltage.- fastersteve

450 performance issues
I had a similar issue, turned out the hose nipple on the MAP sensor was cracked. I only found it when I did a pressure test looking for boost leaks. Good luck!- fastersteve

Is it the original pcm? Maybe you are having a PATS issue...the chip could override the PATS, pulling it would engage the PATS.- fastersteve

Bizarre throttle issue
I haven't run the new pcm without the chip, but when I pulled the chip out of the old pcm it continued to act up, so I'm inclined to think it's not the chip. Could a failing IPR do this? My understanding was that they either work or they don't. I'm open to reasoned suggestions.- fastersteve

So I just replaced the PCM with a reman from Full Force Diesel. Yes, this would be #4. I'd love it if someone could point me in any direction as to a cause. It runs much better now, but still does the rpm spike once or twice when cold. Maybe I need to buy some sage and smudge it...- fastersteve

Need a new trans, looking for recommendations
Ford was still showing them when I last looked. IDK if they still are or not, I was assuming. The HD reman didn't last as long as the stocker with a tugger kit, the stock trans even lived through big oil that the HD never saw. I'm leaning towards the Warren, just need to pull the trigger.
