'99.5 No Start: Stumped and Crunched on Time

Fuggin A'...it was the batteries (well at least that part). So much for less than year old Sears Diehard Platinums...will NEVER buy those again.:slap: Now to figure out why the truck still isn't starting.- Freerider15

Truck wouldn't even crank. I think this may be a LOT simpler than I thought.:slap: I think my nice, expensive, pretty well new Diehard Platinum batteries are lumps of crap. Alright, so this is becoming a short nightmare for me. Truck is a '99.5, 7.3L, Manual. My truck had presented problems (non-responsive gas pedal, randomly dying, not really responding at all to my PHP Hydra). OR...I could do proper diagnostics to figure out if my truck has an issue in a certain area before driving around in a modded tune and thus ***kering things up due to not running with a 100% healthy engine :thumbsup:- Freerider15

Yeah, figured I'd just ask if there was supposed to be otherwise. The PCM was sent to PHP, along with the Hydra, and re-tinned. Not sure I'm following you on the other part? Clutch doesn't feel like it's slipping at all as far as I can tell. 80DD is the hottest I've tried, but I can try higher. I completely agree, I just wanted to post number in case someone saw something that made them go "hmmmmm" that I would not be aware of. My plan is to try and do some...- Freerider15

Ok, so I FINALLY was able to get some time to run the truck. I replaced the ICP with one from dieselorings.com, so I can now fully rule that out. Here are the numbers: 1.) Stock Setting on the Hydra: 2.) 80DD Setting on the Hydra I do notice the ICP number for the HPOP being about...- Freerider15

That's what I keep getting told. Even without any gauges to confirm it should make the truck feel night and day different. I look at getting my gauges in and getting the Torque app reading again. Oooookie dokie, back to the top with this. So I sent the PCM and Hydra off to PHP. Had them re-tin the PCM and make sure the Hydra and PCM were communicating properly. So, all is good from that end...however...still no real "difference" in feeling between stock and 80DD. :( I drove it around...- Freerider15

Yeah they went a weeee bit overboard. I'm sure that it wouldn't be too hard...but in this case I'd rather trust someone familiar with it. The reason I was thinking of possibly sending it off to Jody or Bill, is that I'm hoping they could re-tin it, and then hook it up to make sure its working...- Freerider15

Thanks for the pics and numbers. So reloaded the tunes to see if that might be it...nope. I'll take a look at my up pipes...but even with "weak" stuff I should be seeing SOMETHING. Was at a fellow 4x4er's shop in Northern Colorado today. He runs the Hydra and agrees even if things were weak...- Freerider15
