    Stumped again

Just another thought here, I've see a handful of times, truck will crank but after a few revolutions get weak, and it's caused by loose battery cables, and it refuses to fire the injectors. I'm talking about cable ends you have to put some good force on in order for them to rotate, but still...

Needed- 7.3 42 pin connector- male/ truck side, not engine

Anyone on here have a 42 pin connector and harness laying around they'd sell? The harness and connector that connect TO the 42 pin engine harness, not the engine harness part itself. Looking for the connector with wires and pins in tact, only need 6-8 inches of the harness out of the connector...

    Stumped again

If you have access to another hpop I'd sure try swapping it. Not too bad of a job to do.

    Stumped again

I've seen a hpop make pressure dead headed, but guess it wasn't supplying the flow. Had me stumped for a bit. I felt bad because i had diagnosed as worn out injectors (it did have a little miss to it before hpop failed). Replaced injectors and still wouldn't start. Iirc, it would build hp oil...

DFW: 6.7 need install for Turbo, CPx HPFP

A co worker of mine is pretty familiar with 6.7's and lives in the Crowley area. Let me know if you'd like his info.

Anyone ever seen this turbo outlet?

Ahh that would explain why I'd never seen that setup then. Thanks

Anyone ever seen this turbo outlet?

I came across this pic on a facebook listing, and wondering wtf setup this is out of. Worked on a whole bunch of 7.3's over the years and never seen this. The top part of the downpipe appears to be one with the exhaust outlet housing. The rest of the turbo seems like a normal late 99 setup.

    Stainless steel injector cups

I've only ever used the Rosewood style and definitely agree you can hear and feel the cups bottom out. And 100% on the dime trick.

    Stainless steel injector cups

Would what you refer to be a "swedging" tool? Our Hino engine excavators at work have had some cup issues and we had to buy a "swedging" tool to replace them.

    Exactly

    Stainless steel injector cups

I'm no metalurgist, nor am I anything more than a mechanic lol, but I really don't see why the steel ones wouldn't hold up. Again, only ever seen the brass cups crack. Every 6.0 I've ever seen put fuel in the coolant ended up being cracked heads.

    Stainless steel injector cups

Aren't 6.0 injector cups steel? Not sure if they're stainless steel or not, but they're definitely not brass like 7.3's. I've worked on hundreds of 6.0's and 7.3's and only ever seen cup failure on brass 7.3 cups.

Aftermarket headlights? That actually look good..

You and me both lol. Been way too long since it's been on the road. I've got to figure out what I'm going to do with the trans crossmember, since it's a 5 speed. I have two ideas, just need to figure out which I'm going to do. This project is taking alot longer than I thought.

Aftermarket headlights? That actually look good..

Yeah I'm not big on the halo's or additional lights, but with that said I bought a set of lights for my jetta a few years ago that were from a forum member on tdiclub, they have halos because all of his did, and they have been amazing, and the light is on the road, with a super sharp cutoff...
