Turbo pedestal oil leak after replacing O rings

Back in the day lots of guys gutted the EBPV assembly out of stock pedestals. I used a zip cut saw and cut off the EBPV aluminum cylinder, that housed the EBPV oil driven piston. Once off I drilled and tapped as I recall two ports in the exposed cylinder housing (that remains attached to the...

ZF-5 South Bend twin disc clutch

Hi Fellas, So we installed a ZF-5 with a twin disc clutch along with new master and slave. Actually the truck originally came to us as a 4X2 auto and we swapped in a D60 along with a ZF and clutch, peddles etc. At issue is the clutch disengages/engages right at the top of peddle throw. Has...

PCM intermittent power or bad ground?

All right checked all fuses, they’re good. Checked IPR plug for loose insulation and shorting nothing. Pulled out PCM pulled cover off and looked at circuit board, no burnt smell nothing looked melted. Cleaned ground wire for PCM on inside fender by hood spring. Grounded (with jumper cable) to...

PCM intermittent power or bad ground?

Hey Fellas, Need some insight, buddies 97 7.3 ZF-5 quit today after hitting a larger bump/rough spot on the highway. Truck shut down, will not fire. I gave him an ECM a couple weeks ago as he experienced same, installed my ALF4 ECM truck fired right up. Sent other ECM off for suspected repair...

    EBP Sensor

You could also take the sensor and put inline with MAP sensor too. In this way you’d still have a variable pressure to the sensor.

    Build advice please…

@johnT24 I went with FFD 205/30s with supporting mods including IC, E fuel, exhaust and intake. Hydra tuner with Jelibuilt files. Also (for now) stock turbo (gutted pedestal) with KC 360 bearing, 300sx exhaust wheel, RiffRaff billet intake wheel and 1.0 A/R housing. In retrospect I shoulda...

    High output alternator?

I run a Leece-Neville 200 amp rebuildable and has stood the test of time on 2 of my trucks. The OBS mount is called a “T” mount. You will pay more but it’s rebuildable, robust and puts out the amps.

    Batteries not holding charge.

Hey Fellas, Buddy of mine has a 6.0, batteries keep going flat. So he’s installed new batteries, new alternator still same results. Over 10 hrs they will go flat, nothing left on in the truck, this has just started to happen in the last 2 weeks. I’m not familiar with 6.0 so I’m not sure what...

    Front Bumper Replacement

Aside from Stock Patrick have always thought the Warn Winch bumpers which aren’t being made (least I don’t think) would be cool. I know this probably doesn’t help you but just throwing it out there..... I’ll try to dig up an image. Cheers, https://images.app.goo.gl/5HmQm7oLtATCgJYR8...

    Kc S300 63/68 or 63/73

Excellent info here Fellas, thanks for sharing. I have a couple OBS trucks and in particular one has FFD 205/30s (stock HPOP, with a T500 on the shelf) in it with Jelibuilt tunes and supporting mods including retrofitted IC, 6.0 fan, e-fuel, DP etc. Currently has a stock frame turbo with KC’s...
