My 97 psd went down Saturday.*
A-Z it has an oil leak....the level got low and the HPOR sucked air and truck died. Got oil in it and started purging air. Cranked bats too low. We smell hot wires and i stopped. Starter was smoking! Farmer stopped and we jumped off his truck. With plenty of engine...

I seem to remember someone saying that the mph needs to be lower on scale with the gear. I took that to mean the mph to be set consecutively higher with each gear.
Like....
1st - 10mph
2nd -20mph
3rd - 30mph......
Anything to that Mark?
I ask this question because I spent awhile talking to guys who beat on them. I've had several customers now that show up in 400k+ 6.0's with nothing done to them. Not even egr! What they all have in common was the flogged them mercilessly and never installed tunes.

Exactly right.
When I crew I always stand directly behind the truck/car while they launch. I will even have someone video just the tire with a good camera and watch in slow-mo later. You learn EVERYTHING on the launch you need to know about the suspension.

90's dakota frame - cheap
9" with tone ring - I've seen these made from implement sprockets.
Lose 500lbs of weight and put it back where you want instead of putting it all on the shoulders of the suspension. 5 link rear with your coil-overs and...
I have several small radiators.
And my advice was to not waste anymore time on that overweight tractor frame. It served 1 purpose. Get into a 12.0 class with a stock suspension. That page has turned.
Run what you brung or start a new chapter.
Any of your local circle track guys will have scales.
I'm going to go against the grain here and say....don't change a thing about that chassis. The capability you've displayed would suggest to me you start a tube chassis.
If.....you are set on a truck chassis.....? Lets start with a better...
