You are correct. You would have to drop the front hanger down the same as the shackle flip to keep it centered. So the only advantage to the PMF is the extra 0.5" over just flipping the stock hanger. Both would require grinding out the studs that hold the factory shackle hanger on and both...
Since no one has chimed in....
It appears that flipping the rear hanger will cause the rear axle to move forward about an inch and will increase your pinion angle and require shims. Now sure how many degree of shims and not sure I feel like dealing with these issues. Guess I will continue to...
Has anyone here done a shackle flip? I found an old post on another forum from around 2012 where a guy did this on his 2010 F350. I am looking to raise the rear of my 2010 F250 1.5" to 2". I currently have a 4.5" block with traction bar mounts that I do not want to replace. I also have a 2"...
I have a Rough Country 6.5" (4.5" over stock) rear block for sale. Came with my kit but did not use. Comes with all hardware pictured. Asking $100 plus shipping. Kit was for a 2010 F250.
You bought a 1" block? Did you install it on top of below your traction block? Any issues with it wanting to rotate? I was thinking the pin will keep it centered but may weld some tabs on the sides to keep it from rotating?
If I was to do the flat bar I would probably get a new spring...
What would anyone suggest for raising it an additional 1"? Blocks have traction bar mounts so dont want to swap it out. Already have a 2" helper spring. Would a 3" helper spring be my only other option without replacing block and spring pack?
This is my opinion also! I hate to do it but I think I am going to redo the rear lift to gain another inch. I want it to look level more than actually be level. I just wonder if the front spring will settle at all?
I installed my lift and the front and read measurements from center of wheel to bottom of fender are very close. The front measures 31" and the rear measures 30.75" so the rear is a 1/4" lower. I was wondering what everyone considers to be level? I see tons of trucks that appear to be lower...
Not sure that he is in business now. He made quality leveling kits and any size rear block with traction bars that you wanted. Bars and blocks have been on the truck since 2013 and never had a single issue out of them.
Just noticed you are in Greer SC. I work in Greenville SC so not too far...
