I've been wanting to do this as well sub'd for pics.

I was just wondering what size lift I would need when I do this swap. I want to run 22x12 with 35s. Will a 4.5" lift work or do I need to go with a 6"?

I've seen where people put 05+ steering boxes in a obs. They say bolt holes are the same just the hose fittings are different. If the 16 bolts in a 05 then the obs should be achievable. I might have to look into this a little further since I'll be doing a 05+ axle swap soon.

I'd like to see a pic of your ball valve and tee set up. I was thinking of doing this as well.

6ohhh I've had both.

After replacing 3 oil coolers I got the Oil cooler relocation kit. Now when oil temp gets out of hand I simply back flush. As stated above way esaier to flush and you could probably change the cooler is 30mins-1hr.

Just get custom tunes truck will have more power shift better and probably last longer. Or keep running canned tunes rebuild your trans get studs and possibly ruin the new trans with the canned tunes. Listen to these guys I run ******** srl all day everyday 168k on the clock stock trans and...

I was getting icp codes and a couple cylinder codes and truck would die similar to the problem you have. I eventually replaced the entire wire harness not a problem sence.

I'll be starting this project soon on an 88 f250. Just need to gather a few more parts lot of good info here.

I was thinking about getting a turbo soon but guess I'll wait for now.
