How many miles on your 6.4?

224,000 mi Top End Rebuild at around 212,000. The impetus was a broken Rocker Arm.

6.4 after rebuild will not run

I'm not implying the original poster did not utilize this software, but for anyone running into this issue I'd suggest downloading and running FORSCAN. https://forscan.org/download.html

    Trouble seating turbos

I PUSHED THE RUBBER DRAIN INTO THE TURBO BEFORE SETTING THEM, then used a Shop Crane I got for $250 from Harbor Freight to set it. Doing it alone, it was well worth the money: PITTSBURGH AUTOMOTIVE 2 Ton Capacity Foldable Shop Crane Just my $0.02 (Hope you got it regardless of technique)

Radiator (Mishimoto) Install Issue - It's Crooked

Alright, what'd I do wrong here... Installing a new Mishimoto Radiator, with the updated orange bushings and rubber upper mounts. The mounts are sitting on the OEM Support Brackets (Black, hard plastic pieces) and seem to be well-seated. My issue is that the passenger side of the radiator is...

    High-Pitched "Rattle"

    I have, that's not it.

    Acid in fuel

Woaaahhh. High Sulfur Fuel (sulfuric acid)?

    High-Pitched "Rattle"

At speeds of about 45 mph and over my truck has a very noticeable "rattle" that is driving me nuts. The rattle is not present below 40 or 45 mph and the speed of the rattle does seem to correlate with the speed of the truck (gets faster the faster I'm driving). You sort of have to 'listen for...

6.4 Rebuild - Valvetrain Movement ('Lift') - Very Little

RE: 2008 F-250 6.4 (215k, Job 1) I'm in the midst of rebuilding - or more so 'Replacing', the top end of my 2008 6.4. I have installed the new valvetrain components on new KDD Cylinder Heads (Stage 2, 100 lb Valve Springs). Everything torqued to spec (did rockers first) but when I hand crank...

    Valve bridges

Little late here but, from what I've read and watched the orientation of the rocker valve bridges does not matter - I chose to orient all of the circular holes towards the center of the engine and the ovals 'out' (or "down", given the angle).

    HPFP Gear Removal

Thank you guys for your input. I tried the pry bar to no avail but got it to pop right off with a puller (the one circled in blue). I put the Pump in a vise, placed the two "arms" over the outside of the gear (over the teeth) and it took quite a bit of force but it popped right off without...

    HPFP Gear Removal

I'm replacing my High Pressure Fuel Pump in my '08 6.4 and for the life of me I can't get this damn gear off of the old fuel pump (to attach to the new pump). Yes, the nut is removed. Is the gear pressed-on somehow? I stuck it in the freezer overnight and tried again to no avail. Is there a...

    HPFP Gear Removal

I took the (reverse thread) nut off of the Gear on the HPFP but I’m having a hell of a time removing the gear from the pump. Should it be this hard to remove? Am I missing something?

Navigation in place of a stock radio ?

I know this is a late reply but I figure it may help someone with a similar question... I replaced my 2008 'CD-6' Stock Head Unit with one from a 2011 Lincoln Navigator (Incl Nav). The only hang-up I encountered was that the OEM amplifier in my truck didn't work with the 2011 head unit. I...
