I wish I had gotten my truck without adaptive cruise. Its great for slamming on the brakes and accelerator after some damn door swinger cuts you off to slow race a Swift truck. I average 1.5mph better when I don't use it.
I don't really need 3 different FM modes and I'm not planning on renewing sirius. Is there any way to remove these options from sync so I don't have to scroll through 9 different options when I want to switch from AM to FM.
That's a lot of driving in a pickup anyways. The seating position in a semi is a lot more upright. I don't think my back could take that much seat time in a pickup.
Awesome truck but it's going to be a tough sell. It's too old to get a loan on easy, and most people with access to that much cash don't want to spend it on a depreciating asset. I'd love to have the truck myself but I don't think the bank will cooperate on a truck older than 7 years and I...
https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/regulations
These are the federal regs. Again, not all jurisdictions enforce them. Money hungry (blue) states like to enforce it to the letter.
Federal law says anything over 10k gvwr need DOT numbers and operating authority to cross state lines. Some states enforce this, some don't. Maryland enforces the law this way so stay the hell out of here if you can.
I don't need to look at the numbers to know it's a **** deal. You can't make money at $1.27/mi. For that price, you can buy enough fuel to wear your truck out and that's about it.
Real hotshotters pick and combine partial loads. 1 load at $1.27/mi is a crap deal, but cram 3 $1.27 loads on...
SCT with custom tunes is the way to go. I'd be hesitant to call any tune "head gasket safe" though. They didn't even come from the factory "head gasket safe" lol
I ran the gearhed 40hp tow tune on my F-550 and liked it a lot. Truck was studded though.
I got mine at invoice and it took about half an hour. I told them don't waste my time so they didn't. I bought 2 transit connects from them also, one of them they drove out to my house with all the paperwork and delivered. Never even had to go to the dealer.
Doesn't do you much good in...
My last service truck went 380k (07 6.0) with nothing other than regular maintenance. I think we welded the EGR shut around 320k and it got an injector solenoid replaced somewhere along the line as well. Ended up trashing the torque converter because the crank started walking back. Got my...
