So Fel pro head gaskets are recommended also now. When I did the HG on mine 03 Ex Ford OEM gaskets were the only ones that held up long term.

Funny you say that I found a medium duty day cab IH 4900 with single axle for cheap local online. It has the DT466 engine. I read that they are reliable but would this be capable pulling a 3/4 car trailer or “under powered”?

What are the specs of the trans and TC build? Would you be comfortable towing with that drivetrain regularly?

That's good news! Are you running a stock tune? Any more mods to engine? Do you think the stock oil cooler could keep up with a 20-25k trailer? If not would you recommend an aftermarket unit like Bullet Proof Diesel remote mounted oil cooler (I can't fabricate)? Thanks

Those F450/550’s have plenty of payload (higher GVWR). I am sure I won’t overload or exceed the GVWR or axle ratings.
