It's really a crapshoot...trial and error.some things make the pcm De fuel on some strategies...some don't.for mine no vss signal and the 225s didn't smoke a lick with a race tune and stock charger.the earlier ones weren't as bad until Ford started programming safeguards in to help warranty...
I haven't been able to yet.it's heavier than stock that's for sure.my guess is somewhere around 3800-4k .full interior.I added a few hundo in the cage but saved some weight with chromoly k member and arms,manual steering and brakes.tube front structure.
I was hoping you hadn't gave up on it! they take time but it's definitely worth it.I was starting mine around the same time you did.took me 4 years start to finish but I have a family and it sat for a bit while building my new shop.any questions feel free to ask .
Only way is to Start with stock harnesses and cut them down.you need engine, under hood, dash, trans harnesses.a vss signal, later years need the cluster also.
