Almost nobody does, and you have to pay for the programming which is why most don't use it. If you bought your tuner on Ebay, Amazon etc. you may as well send it back, because as ccain85 pointed out the version used by PHP is a custom product from Edge that PHP has the ability to write tunes...

I would start with the IPR and the wiring connected to it.

Got the new IPR in after much swearing and about 3' of extensions, Drove the truck about 80 miles without incident so I'm hopeful that the issue is resolved.

Fluid level OK in the power steering reservoir? Unrelated but I found out that my commuter car (99 Accord) will not start when the power steering reservoir is empty.

Pulling the FICM should be easier than pulling the turbo so I'll give it a go, thanks. I already have the IPR socket so good to go there.

As far as I could see when I was messing with it all the insulation and heat shielding was intact. New IPR is on the way. If I'm not mistaken the easiest way to swap it out is to pull the turbo?

When I had Cale's tuning on my old 7.3 I tried multiple times to get in touch for updated tunes to correct a few little bugs and I never had any luck.

I miss my 7.3 but towing with, or just driving, the 6.0 sure has been nice. The only thing I don't miss about the ol 7.tree is the racket it made.
