Just wondering what the process is to remove the weather seal from a ex cab? I had a really quick look at mine and it has little things that look like pins up top between the doors by the latch. I am planning to do this mod finally! Any final consensus between 3/8 or 5/16? I guess they are...

I looked at it a bit, not sure it is the same. Why not go with the lights under the tailgate? Same idea, just lower. I did that and it was super simple and looks great IMO

That would be a good idea, the current hood light is useless.

No, I put a lead to upfitter that i can use from in the cab, but that only works with the truck running. So i also have a lead direct from the battery to a switch in the bed so I can use them without running the truck.

Just did mine also with the LEDglow kit under the rails and a superbrightled strip in the box. They are wired to an on-off-on (battery-off-upfitter) switch in the back corner of the bed so I can have them come on from in the cab or at the back of the truck with the truck off. I am happy with them.
