    Stumped again

I don't think the scan gauge reads rpm without a 5v adapter, maybe. I'll check that out, and see if that's a possibility. I've had this one for about 15 yrs, lol. It's not the " 2" version.

It is the original pcm, but gh tuning doesn't shut off pats unless they are specifically asked to do so. I reset the pats for s&g, but the light is flashing as it always has.

    Stumped again

Yes I've had the 42 pin connector apart and back together several times, no problems there. Didn't pay attention to the tach while cranking, if that's what your asking. How would I check rpm signal with a meter? I

    Stumped again

The was the last project on the way out the door, so no, I didn't check for power, just plugged another idm in to see if it would fire. I guess I don't know which pin(s) to check for power.

    Stumped again

Well, idm swap didn't change anything. What are the chances all eight injectors are bad, lol. Pcm maybe? That's the only other change, pulling the chip, but I've never seen a pcm that only worked with the chip in.

    Stumped again

Idm is between the inner and outer fender, I don't think I can get to it without pulling one or the other. Never had to, lol. I have cranked with the icp sensor unplugged, no difference. Ipr controls the amount of oil allowed to bypass the injectors, at the pump, and that appears to be working...

    Stumped again

3k on a manual gauge at the head while cranking, there's oil there. I am not seeing oil dribble from the injectors while cranking, but I thought the solenoids had to be activated on the electrical side for the oil to come through the injector? Is there an easier way to get to the idm than...

Injectors were the only change. I tried starting before swapping cps and idm..

    Stumped again

I do not have any way to check software other than a scan Guage. I cannot hear the injectors buzz by ear, but maybe I can get another ear on it tomorrow night. The chip is out for a reburn. The truck ran when it came in, but I do have another idm to swap in, hoping to avoid, that, lol...

    Stumped again

I've run into an issue that has me stumped... crank but no start. 02 excursion, I've replaced the injectors with remans from unlimited. The originals were 260k miles on them, and actually ran pretty well. The truck is going up for sale, so I figured new injectors may help move it. I put...

Tuning the 7.3 in current times

Most of the tuners listed don't want to mess with a ts chip anymore, including 2 of the three i listed. They'd rather sell a hydra... Gearhead still does the ts chips, and I'd love to try tw tunes, but I don't know how to get ahold of him.

Gearhead Jelich Php Off the top of my head. There are some others around, but they may not spend much time promoting the older stuff- you know, 7.3l.:ROFLMAO:🫤

    SXE education request

The ceramic isn't helping you at all. Best you can do there is play with the amount of slip it'll tolerate. I'd say anywhere in the 30s psi is plenty of air in top gear, but the icp should go up around 28-3000 psi, depending on the tune, and assuming everything is up to snuff, mechanically.

    SXE education request

I've towed a lot, and heavy, with a dual disc setup. Fourteen thousand, and up. That said it was an 8 button organic, set at 3400 lbs. Not grabby, but they definitely need to be set up right. I could not slip it under load, and there was plenty of power in front. The ceramic is a hard no for...
