    Factory DVD help in an 08 crewcab

    The answer is no on the last question. The rear DVD player is connected to the factory head via CAN bus signals. If you disconnect the bus between them the rear DVD player stops working. I have the Rear Entertainment System (RES) in my 08. Its pretty good but has a few annoying "features".

    Your truck with the swapped engine ? That is probably because the Cummins ECM wasn't using the SKIM module. The PATS module won't stop the Cummins engine from being (jump) started. The SKIM module is supposed to do that. The PATS module will stop the 6.4 from being started. No key, no run...
