What is a competition unit compared to the regular build like mine? I can say Morgans built tranny will take a beating. Do it! You won't be sorry. I fully expected to lose drivability, and I really think it gained it. And man this thing pulls like a mf! I don't have a clue of what the power level is, but it is strong.- 50_shooter

Yep, my oil got pretty warm. I'm sure it was a contributing factor. I love the 6466 too, and want to make clear that I take full responsibility for its failure. Ahahahahaha! I never did understand the 55 gallon drums hooked up too a 4" pipe. I always thought it was a Cummins thing. Good way to ruin a super duty IMHO. Kinda like a great big ballsack hanging from your hitch, smells of low class white trash...- 50_shooter

I had probably 15k on mine. It was fine until I did about 6 boosted launches in a row on the dirt track racing other trucks. Unfortunately I didn't see what the egts got to, I was too busy trying to stage and launch. Totally my fault for pushing it too hard. I'm going back with a 6870, so...- 50_shooter

Just a heads up, I smoked my 6466 by getting turbo too hot for too long during repeated dirt dragging. It developed a slight whine, but no other symptoms. How much power do you want? You have to upgrade the hpfp to get much over 525. Some guys are getting by with stock trans, but mine had burnt clutches before dlt. If you beat on it I'd figure on a trans. I don't think head studs are an issue at 600 horse. I wouldn't consider compounds unless...- 50_shooter
