EBPV Surging
to load the engine.. makes it warm up faster think of a heat riser valve on Grandpa's Chevy station wagon.. same basic principal.. only the heat riser directed exhaust through the intake.. the EBPV just creates engine load.. -

disconnect it from the case and see if the shifter is bound up.. -
