Not happy with set up 238/100 38R

Even with Matt's tunes, when I try to push my foot through the floor while in the race setting, I can get to 1600 ish degrees no problem. That's why its a race tune. Anything beyond 3/4 throttle and its gonna get hot. The rest of my tunes, not so much... Rockin' the 38R~238/80% combo btw. I...

Not that hard. Try Multalloy, or South West Stainless. They are both in Houston. Also, Texas Pipe & Supply.

    7.3 headers....

:whs: Our shop builds vessel internals. 321 is where its at. Most all process internals are made out of 321. 304 is junk material for us. Carbon content has alot to do with withstanding heat FYI. Alot of our customers specify .04% Carbon Content. Higher heat rating. There is always...

    Block differences?

You are correct. In the other thread Joe (CSIPSD) was referring to running 99-00 engines in his trucks until he doesn't want to run 7.3's any longer. I believe the 99-00 reference was to be able to go get a pull out engine and not need to look at the inspection hole or serial numbers (which...

    Block differences?

I believe that person was referring to connecting rods, not the block itself. 99-00 block will for sure have forged connecting rods. If your needing a motor that you can just buy and throw in a truck, these year models are desired. No one wants to put a motor with PMR rods back into a truck...

    Flatbed with big tires

Mine is a single wheel, but I run 35x12.50 tires with 2" of lift. Air bags in the rear of the truck for towing, so I never have to worry about the tires bottoming out on the bed.
