Me and the GF just bought a 2014 38' Forest River Viper. Has a 12' garage for the RZR. Inside is very nice and it weighs in at only 11k empty. Were in love with it so far.
I have a similar problem with the F-150 tank and sending unit I'm using. Once mine gets near 1/4 tank, it starts falling pretty fast towards E.
Luckily I have a sump and don't have to worry about the draw straw height like the issue your having...
Good Luck!
I'm not sure how heavy your boat is, But I pull my Polaris RZR 1000 around on a 12' lowboy with my shorty and it doesn't sit it down all that much. Definitely not enough to worry about.
Lookin Good! These are so much fun to drive. I love mine.
I put a sump on my fuel tank and ran 3/8 diesel rated rubber line from the sump to the fuel pump. That was easiest. Then I put the return line into the feed side of the sending unit.
Brake lines were easily flared and shortened.
Thanks for the info. I've built a few full systems for my other trucks, just didn't know if I could get by with a $100 stock style cartridge pump for this 6.0 for a while. I'll throw a Walbro on it before I spend $350 on a new motorcraft pump.
I removed the overload spring and one more on my single cab and it sat almost level. Just slightly higher in the rear.
No need to replace the u bolts. Stock ones are fine. I need to check my pinion angle still, but it doesn't look bad.
I suggest just leaving 3 springs in there and it will be...
