    If your gonna tear it down anyway...if the cab is off it's easy to swing the motor out, pull the rear cover and change the branch tubes to the 05 style and run a thumper...or pull the motor if the cab isn't off and change over...then throw a cam in while you're there, if you don't have one already.

    I don't have any pics that I know of but, food for thought...17" tires are going to probably cost more then the larger sizes...that's what I've found anyways. 20's were cheaper then the 17's when I was lookin.

    I would look at it myself if I were you. Unless it has high miles and had a lot of blowby, a new engine would not be my first thought. I would like to see the evidence of this said plastic then go from there.

    you should check to see if the hpfp is passing any metal before goin to the trouble of replacing the seal. if it is, the pump will need replaced...being overfull on oil due to fuel will cause it to smoke also. not saying that's your only problem, but it can cause it.

    What are you needing? Bottom end or complete motor? 1750 is too high unless it has no miles on it and totally complete. Melted piston depending on how bad will need boring.
