Are you sticking with a 302? I only ask because our racecar engine builder has a pile of stuff. I can see if he has anything of interest for you. Probably has some aluminum heads.

Well that's good news! Hopefully you have the Lenco sorted out. What are you doing on the engine? The usual fluid changes? Or are you diving a little deeper? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

To figure out the size carb you need it's. (Cubic inches X max rpm X volumetric efficiency )÷3456 And for volumetric efficiency a typical stock naturally aspirated engine is between 70-75% efficient (.7 to. 75) but a well built one is around 85% efficient. And an all out race motor is about...

1978 for the block the D is 1970 the next number 8 is the year in the 70's. So 1978. If you can find some D0ve heads (most guys call them dove heads ) those are a favorite for budget builds. Never mind I'm talking 460 stuff now. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

That's not seat pressure though. A 120 pound seat pressure spring will be about 300 pounds at full open I'd say. But either way an upgraded set of springs would be a good idea

But a set of decent 5/16 pushrods and 110 or 120 pound valve springs would be great insurance. Plus they are cheap. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Depends on the spring pressure and rpms. You kind of need to know both. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Yeah you might better just sell that whole truck to me. ... you would be much better off! Nice thing is 302 stuff is cheap and readily available. And you can throw a 347 stroker kit in it for under 700 bucks. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

Well roll it over and check the cylinder. I had one Waaaaaay worse than that when I was 15 and was able to easily sleeve it. And that motor still runs today Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
