Understood but your analogy actually works with me also. Heat Soak. My 6.4 had a stock engine but with a 59/73, intercooler, 4" back exhaust, 6.0 manifolds, etc. Now it did have more power, but even not using it all like I had too when it was stock, the truck still got warm on oil and coolant... -

Those are slow because of the turns. The 16% has about a 120 degree tight left turn before it so no speed to hit it with. The truck stays in 2nd all the way up but I am not too the floor no point because the top is a stop sign. The other steep one which is about a 10% grade I am about 45 range... -

Remove the screen as a start before changing anything mechanical as stated. Like I have stated my temps. My truck is stock. I tow 18000+ up 5-16% (not a typo) grades so yes it gets warm. The truck will loose some weight shortly just been lazy. I can really hear the fan about 250 oil temp... -
Extremely high base oil psi
Have you tried to change the relief spring? Did you build it or did it come in, if so I have seen people shim the spring to get more pressure. -
Towing mpg thoughts
Depending on the speed and terrain. 7-11. Have not tried going slower to see if it gets better. I don't have long stretches of flat either within 5 hours of me. Everything is 5%+. -
What have you done to your powerstroke today?
Washed, Clay bar and waxed the dually (Along with the work truck and the girlfriends car). The interiors stay clean most of the time but got the Lexol treatment a few weekends ago.- tbsimmons

Compared to stock yes worth it. I couldn't find any for my truck under 500 even on Amazon at the time. If you do snatch them up. Sent from the bat phone near a drilling rig.- tbsimmons

So you run air bags and air shocks. Never heard of doing both. I would put different shocks on it. If you daily drive unloaded a lot I would get the Fox. If you like dampening then get the Bilsteins. The Fox shocks did great. Just j had something to compare too. If I didn't I wouldn't know and...- tbsimmons

Well I went to Costco in the dually yesterday and the big hit from those tracks is gone for the most part. Now my truck is a little heavier with a fuel tank in the bed plus a little more spring rate in back. Yes my truck is stock height. Yes the over the counter 2.0. I just think a piggyback...- tbsimmons

From my experience in vehicles, to have a better ride you have to have less dampening, rebound in particular now this is taking into account the compression circuit is not almost closed off or you have a high spring rate. A lot of the ride comes from the back, so the front can be pretty stiff in...- tbsimmons

Unloaded the truck is much better and feels more planted. Not to soft in my mind. The rebound is less I can tell now. Compression seems about the same as the Bilsteins as far as I can tell. The front of the truck recoils over the speed bumps up then down to the static height. No second motion up...- tbsimmons

I got it. I don't mind knobs. The pressure is not consistent on the touch screen so I am still not used to them. -

You will like the Hellwig bars. I have them front and rear. The stock ones were about the size that belonged on a 2500# import. Much better feel and unexplainable towing the fiver. Sent from the bat phone near a drilling rig.- tbsimmons

Yea they do look better. It's comical how many people under dampen things thinking it's a spring problem. Hell for a while I had the stock springs in my Impala which were in the 450# range and had Hals which were 50/50 shocks and had the front on 6-7 out of 10 in the front. I loved Bilsteins on the 08 450. I will drive it unloaded and then towing tomorrow so get to see instant. I like stiff shocks.
