The mech PW window is the reason you see the injector guys and top HP 7.3 shops speaking about fuel cc in a 2ms PW as anything much longer than that puts it too far down in the RPMs to be of use as it add too much Tq to the equation. WE already can make enough tq to split any block so thats not...

We really need a that chart as anyone that is doing their own tuning or looking at what a tuner has done for them can have a real idea of whats going on at least at a basic level.

My point was that for 3.7 PW it almost has to be lower rpms for the mechanical window. But if it was a lower ICP that would explain it. That was just me trying to workout what was going in with the tune. But again back to my original point which is what a 38R can clean up. There is no...

    New Exhaust

5in only if you do not mind the noise. It never hurts to reduce back-pressure. It may not help much but it never hurts post turbo. Ideally the down pipe entrance should be trumpet shaped for a nice smooth transition. As this a 4" transition to a 5" down-pipe with the transition completed...

    New drop in turbo options

Yes not sure how they are going to know one OEM turbo from another. For cheap you can get a pulled off gt4294 and unless they are 7.3 expert are not going to know.

But even then having PW of 3.7 IMO is huge down low on a DD if ICP is high. With low ICP all bets are off as there are too many variables without seeing the map etc.

Yes mine have oil and fuel side mods. They run about 30cc more at 2ms PW than your average ones. Also at the upper rpms you can hit certain harmonics where the fuel side does not refill properly. If was partly for that reason that I had them made with such high fuel capacity.

    New Exhaust

You should be given a life time ban for uttering such words on this forum LOL Now if they had actually be smart enough to make it a diesel hybrid prius that is an entirely different story. Funny how they do not do that. Considering I have gotten 50 mpg if I try with the VW golf or jettas...

Woah!!! 3.7ms on 200%!!!!!! Thats a TON of fuel period. That is more PW than even a stock injector tip could empty a stock injectors with. To put that into perspective my 200% from Nate flow in the 240ish cc at 2 ms @ 3000 ICP. So that more than empty a standard 238cc hybrid. 3.7 ms down low...

Unless you replace it with one that reads higher. That was a short coming for the stock MAP. We ideally need one that went to 40-50 psi. You have to go for a different MAP sensor to use it thru the entire boost range. Then again you can still use it during the ramp up which is when bringing...

    Another T4 thread

Yes some of them do. Many use to not know how to tune with the MAP. I know Matt does . The other issue is the stock map does not go high enough. You can actually get other MAP sensors from BOSCH that with rate to even 100 psi you can then use a multiple to cut it to half so you are working...

That makes a huge difference. I have said many times people make a mistake to not put the cash down when they go to new turbos for a proper wastegate. Set it with the boost and backpressure ref and a specific spring rate to keep drive pressure within a given range from boost. The set of...

That is the build I am seriously considering. I am just getting so tired of chasing issues that end up being sensors or wiring. Ppump and manual trans removes all of that. Not to mention huge in durability and reliablility. Easier to rebuild a trans that is actually rated for the tq levels...

2010+ Front and Rear Axle Conversion

Yes you need to get either a conversion adapter that allows it to be used or use the X one. I never liked the X one so converted.

Yes but he also melted a 10.5 rear engine as well. The lube was black sludge IIRC. Killed god knows how many BTS trans parts and Brian kept having to design or use stronger alloy parts.

any more than 300 hp and 700-800 tq on tap is enough to melt down the entire drive train if you actually used it all on our trucks. Charles had proven thins many times,. Melted even the rear axles on the 350. That is towing with the pedal to the floor the whole time. Thats the dif between...

See that makes perfectly good sense and I doubt most who have been posting otherwise would have issue with. I sure do not and in fact have been saying just that, Its fine to have a turbo that is better even much much better just that the 38R is not a cause of all these issues as a general...

    Using a lot of oil

Thats why I have trouble understanding its not on the ground somewhere. It either has to go in the coolant out the tail pipe or on the ground. I was thinking maybe a hpop or turbo associated leak that is only dumping oil while its running but I would expect it in the valley and at least some...

What became the conclusion of 7.3 cams?

Cam tech is fairly well understood and there is almost never a OEM cam that can not be tweaked for specific goals. But just like with gassers the stock is usually the middle ground. You typically have to give something up to get something when you move from stock. If I was to pick a cam as I...
