Need some help about why my truck won't start
Ok so I tightened all the grounds and took the batteries to AutoZone (Duralast Gold) and had them checked and charged. Turns out one of them was good, the other bad. Yea sorry... batteries are fresh... starter is not (140k miles). I am going to get my tools and check everything out tonight and see if it will go. 238/80's hazing at idle
Mine does that with the 250/100s.... as the temperature goes down the more the haze. Not to worry though. I pulled my injectors and sent them back and they came back fine... just the way life is with bigger injectors.- Wicked

450HP+ Trans Rebuild Kits?
I would talk to BTS and buy either his trans or what he recommends. My 137k mile STOCK trans (except for BTS converter, valve body, and pump mods) is still living at 550 rwhp.... He knows what he is doing!- Wicked

02 7.3 2wd build info
Even forged rod motors don't last that long..... I have a bent one as a reminder on my desk lol If I was going to do it all over again... 160-180/80-100% nozzles with an upgraded oil system and a Brute66/38R. I now have more power but I almost never bring it to the big tune... Even playing...- Wicked

Mild-build Compounds
I would run 200/100s with a Brute 66 or 38r w/ ww2 and see how you like it. If you think you need atmosphere turbos then do it but you will find it will be fine just with a good single.- Wicked

Painting valve covers
Everything in black was done with high temp engine rattle can paint. Everything in red was done with the actual paint for the exterior of the truck. High temp primer was used prior to everything.- Wicked

Well Im back for now.
Fully agree with this post. To much for me when I went bigger and it cost me an engine (btw I had a forged motor to start!). Now I drive the same tune I had (roughly 400 rwhp tune) on both my 160/100s as my 250/100s... So I spent all that money on essentially nothing..... Yea I have a 545...- Wicked

Bent it 2 years ago. Drove it at that level for 15k miles or so. Might have been bent for awhile but noticed that it would smoke like a mof***er in the mornings and figured something was wrong. Sure as hell when we pulled the motor there it was... 2 bent rods.- Wicked

The setup in my sig was the same when I bent it... just no built motor... Might be hard to see the slight bend but its there.- Wicked

4r100 durability.
My trans is still holding... Stock trans 120k with light mods and then 20k more with the power in my sig... I run it most of the time on the 425hp tune... BTS converter/VB/pump mods is all the trans has.- Wicked
