Adding stock exhaust brake switch
If it's not available, maybe see if someone can tune it to have some sort of braking. You could keep the truck completely stock and just see if someone would adjust the shifting and vane positioning.- UpstateDieselGuy

13-16 Spartan tuning
This has been the gripe in recent years with most new diesels across platforms. Between the throttle response dampening, torque management, etc. they all feel slow off the line or laggy. I think that is the biggest issue with driveability, stock and tuned. I'm glad to hear you are addressing it.- UpstateDieselGuy

This! Honestly, Ford is one of the most expensive to purchase and they don't seem to hold their value like the GMC/Chevys and Dodge/Rams. The trade values are terrible. I don't know if it's because of the numbers produced/demand or what.- UpstateDieselGuy

I agree with Morgan. Mechanical Cummins with a manual transmission would be the ticket. Address all known failure points, maintenance, etc. and give her hell. 6.7 fuel injector stuck in head
That's crazy. I would say that you've given it everything you could! Would a penetrating oil of any sort help? I'm thinking that the head is coming off though.- UpstateDieselGuy

Insult me all you want, I have no issues with operating my high beams while on a twisting road. I live where we have snow and ice and along with it the salt and other materials to combat it that would rot that switch out over time. Many older trucks around here have issues with them. I have to laugh. Do what you want, but I don't see the point. I've never had an issue with the highbeams while driving. In fact, I've never had an issue even when driving a manual transmission. Maybe you need to get a clutch pedal if your left leg is falling asleep!- UpstateDieselGuy

I'm not currently tuned, but I have to say if I stick with the 6.7 I will be going with this tuning. I respect the efforts that you putting in and open dialogue with the users. I think this is what has lead to all the praises we're seeing. As stated above, if the exhaust brake required the EGR...- UpstateDieselGuy

The problem is, various different systems tend to be linked together so eliminating one things can have a ripple effect on other functions. For instance, disabling EGR function can also cause the deactivation of the exhaust brake feature. The issue is getting what you want with what you don't...- UpstateDieselGuy
