    For a tow rig, I'd run the smaller housing....better bottom end. The quickest spooling setup I had used a .70 T3 housing....just gate around it if your gonna fuel the piss out of it.

    Any type of checkvalve in the draw straw to prevent losing prime all the time? With a full tank, not much issue, but once your down to a quarter or less....

    The Rona store has these steel inserts that screw into the wood, and you use 1/4" bolts with fender washers on them. Slicker than whale sh!t on an iceberg.

    What size inlet hose are you running to, and from the filter, to the pump? I have a DAHL 200 as well, and have NEVER had issues with running a tight pre-filter, and a 100 micron post filter. (Just in case the pump sh!ts the bed.) Aeromotive Marine grade 11110 pump.

    So are you compensating for the volume of the sub then, or not? If you place the sub into that box, water will be displaced...hence, smaller box/volume. The manufacture should have specs on the volume displaced by the driver itself.
