The only reason I can think of "needing" the SD front cover is because the bolts for the fuel bowl go through it. If you are using the SD fuel system it is pretty easy to make a bracket to mount the fuel filter.
Zac I wouldn't worry too much about having an egt probe with stock injectors on an obs. Get the tunes just don't hold it to the floor pulling a trailer up a monster hill for 5 minutes and you will be fine.

I got the truck fired up on friday and took it for a test drive on saturday. I have a few small things to button up and the truck will be on the road full time again. I am taking it to work tomorrow to see how that goes but I don't expect any issues.
It has been a while since I posted in this thread. I have been working on it all summer when I have time. The worn out 351 came out of it and I got a fuel injected 351 out of a 93 f350. I was hoping to just throw it in but that changed after I got the engine out of the donor truck. I ended up...
I think we did pretty good on it. It has all brand new tires, LED tail lights and a fold up dove tail lights. I am going to try and get some paint work done on it yet this summer/fall but we will see.
Our new/used trailer we picked up 30' and 20,000#.
