    Changing synthetic at 4000 is really expensive. You pay for the additives that should make it last 10k with a bypass filter. I run the LE8700 to 5000-miles and even then it is hardly worn.. I thought I was extreme with my low interval before reading this..

    Congrats, now work with the 6.0 folks to see if the oil cooler is plugged with sand before towing and blowing the head gaskets. Much easier to take care of that before you have issues.

    Have you checked compression or just a simple blowby test by taking off the oil fill cap? That shake is probably cylinders not firing or are way low on compression and not contributing their share

    Glow plugs only help on start up. If it is missing it is either wiring or injectors, or both. From your location I dont think you would even need glowplugs to start. That 2-3 shift might be an issue Mark didnt notice, hope the flush corrects it. Probably will not unless you are low on fluid.

    I have had one fail too, not uncommon. Easy to replace. You can unplug it and get 2x4 low if needed.

    Again.. Get the harness from the Ford shop, no place else. If you get oversized injectors you might need a chip for them. Didnt read back if you have one already. For the glow plugs ONLY get Motocraft. Other brands have a tendency to swell up and break off if you ever need to remove them...

    They dont even open my hood for emissions, it is just a safety check. I burn clean though, no smoke.. That is for the flat brim cap folks.
