They are in good shape on both IPR's... just funny how it will fire up and run on both... but have to change them out after it gets hot until it will fire again. I wonder if both IPR'S I have are bad.

So I have a stripped bolt on the back of my hpop so just for shots I switched put the IPR again with the other used one I have that I have switch to before and the dam thing fired right up no issue. So my question is why when I switch out IPR's it will start and run till it gets hot then won't...

So now I can crank it and have 45# of low pressure oul and around 100 - 150 IPR. I have been put of town a lot the last week and not had time to touch it. I have pulled the IPR and cleaned it and have used both from my spare motor and the original one and same thing. Guessing HPOP. I have...

I didn't look yesterday if it was empty or not when it died I just got it home and went inside. When i went to crank it this morning i have 45 psi of low pressure oil and about the same ICP after cranking it for 3 or 4 minutes. I might just pull the valve covers to see if i have a bad injector...

So... the IPR plug was shot so I changed it out along with. Leand the IPR and put it back together... started up and all was good let it ideal for about 30 mind and drove it about 20 miles and it dies. Now I only have 3 psi of low pressure oil and o ICP at 74% DC. Think I could have a bad...

Well it fired right up this morning... let it warm up and headed to town (10 miles away). Almost to the fuel station it died at a stop light and didn't have enough batteries to crank it over to start. My uncle came and pull started me. All was fine and I got fuel and headed home. Almost home...

Well I couldn't wait till tomorrow... went out and changed it and it fired up. Let it run for a while with no issues.... going to wait till tomorrow for a test drive.

I checked the hpop bolt last night and it was good. I don't believe I'm leaking oil any where.

OK after doing some testing last night I think the hpop night be bad. The low pressure is at 25psi while cranking and the res is full. The IPC is 0 and DC is at 30% or so. Unplugged the ICP and cranking get 2100 ICP (default from PCM) and 75% DC. Any other suggestions?

So got the motor back and put back in the truck. Got it fired up after some long cranking.... weby to drive around the block and made it about 2 miles and it died. Now when I crank on it I am only getting 10psi of oil pressure and it won't fire back up. Any ideas?

Little update... pulled the motor and dropped the oil pan and found the crank broke in half. I'm very surprised it still ran. The motor is not at Unlimited Diesel getting a new crank and bearinga and a once over before it gets put back in the truck. Will post pictures tomorrow.

Yeah this bottom end was a wonderful South Houston Engine short block :doh: Might be until summer till I fix it. I just bought a 6.4 for a good truck and turning this one into a work truck.
