A little help please
Maybe belt tensioner... Though, when my was goin out on my ol 7.3 it made a quick squeek at shut down. I took that for a "dieseling" sound until it shredded two or three belts within a couple days. I can't remember hearing and clunk/thud like that before. Then again, I've only been in the game...- Platinum250Scorpion

Truck won't start once in a while
Sounds smart, to me anyway. Those volt figures sound okay to me too; for concerns of the alternator. Though, I like to see closer to 12.8v & it does take a good bit to start these trucks; maybe even more now with all the electrical do-dads I'm not used to yet. Possible... another guy in another thread had one go out at 50-some thousand miles in his 6.7. :-/ Traditionally I'd check an alternator by seeing how many volts the batteries output with the truck off vs on & it would be roughly 12.8v increased to I think high 13v-low 14v (might've been under a...- Platinum250Scorpion

can't decide help
Same here... My buddy has a Mini Maxx & my SCT looks nicer & is easier to use & read; in my opinion. Tune on the fly is cool. But, is it worth the extra money to you? What common issues are there with the 6.7s?
The problem with the warranty is it includes having the DPF installed and that was somethin I couldn't live with; for the truck's sake. I did read though that the 6.7 has a computer that stores things like DPF deleting & once it's done, there's no just putting it back on to get warranty work...- Platinum250Scorpion

What common issues are there with the 6.7s?
I see 16s driving mostly on base 20-30mph constant stop n go & short trips; yuck. Haven't had this one but a couple months. So, I'm not sure I'm remembering right but, I think cruising at 75-80mph got me 18-19mpg from SC-MO-KS-MO-KS for New Years leave. Though, I haven't taken the time to...- Platinum250Scorpion

The pictured thread & a buddy havin issues with his Sync/radio not wanting to work until he dis/reconnected his batteries make me say electrical has some bugs. Damn, how many miles on it? I have a '14 with almost 28k & am just skimming PSA (new to forum) for familiarization of my basically still new to me platform; comin from a 7.3 about a year ago.
