I have a slight surging in my 6.0 excursion while driving. I am in Daytona beach on vacation so I have no tools to work on it myself. Is there a good shop somewhere I could go to? Thanks -

*update* I pulled turbo and found the two wires that go to the ipr were bare and touching right by the plug. I then removed the heat shield around the entire harness (ipr, icp) and saw that the three icp wires had been badly repaired and all three were also exposed and presumably touching. I... -

Another question. Will an ipr out of an 06 work in my 03? I also pulled codes. I had a p2286 and p2287. I'm going to take the turbo off and see what the sensor looks like and check the screen on the ipr. -

Do you have to remove a bunch if stuff or just degas bottle and ficm? Also, did you need the special tool to remove it? Does a lot of oil run out? Sorry for all the questions but I just want to be prepared. -

Well, truck ran great for a few weeks and now is showing same symptoms as before it stalled and left me stranded. These symptoms were hesitation and blue smoke when you took off from a stop and then cleared up and ran fine. I'm thinking there might be still debris in the system causing the ipr... -

Auxiliary Fuel Tank Options
When I put my RDS combo tank in my 450, I also hooked it up to gravity feed into stock tank. Like others have mentioned, this caused fuel to run out of the breather. To fix this, I just extended the hose that the breather was on to above the aux tank. No more leaks and tank is always full, no...- qcfarmer

Oil cooler debris
More of a whitish grey. Truck sat for an entire year before I bought it so my mechanic thinks the coolant might have calcified. I'm going to flush rad and go from there. There were only 4 passages in the cooler that weren't completely blocked and truck didn't run hot at all. -

I am replacing the o-rings on a leaking oil cooler and I found plastic debris in the end cap. Any ideas where it could be coming from? -

Brought it to my mechanic. I don't like to play with the 6.0s. It's too bad, it's the first time in 10 years it's left us stranded far from home and now the wife had lost all faith in it. She's already shopping for a new truck and then maybe an excursion conversion in the not to distant future. -

Thanks for the help. Truck was over 3/4 full of fuel. I'm thinking icp sensor but since it is an 03, I couldn't unplug to check. The HPOP was replaced in August. So I hope it didn't sh!t the bed already. -

Pretty sure it's the cooler. Seeing it's an early 03, will the cooler from an 06 fit on it? My brother deleted his a few years ago so I have a cooler just sitting here I could use. Or, should I just delete it? -

Coolant level is not moving. I pulled egr valve and it was clean. I didn't notice any moisture but I will check again. If the cooler were cracked, wouldn't there always be white smoke as coolant would be leaking in at all times? -

I have an 03 excursion with a 6.0. Twice in the last couple of days after coming to a stop, I go to accelerate and it pours white smoke and barley moves. This lasts about 5 seconds and then it clears up and runs normal. Any ideas? There are no codes or cel. Thank you
