Napa 6637 vs. OEM Filter

There are good K&N systems out there. but as for a K&N stock replacement? They are junk. I had great luck with my K&N on gas motors. I just dont think I'd trust it on a diesel.

Found Joe's IPR problem.

Thats a crazy sound, but your blow by is not even a concern. I have far more than that. haha. almost sounds like a lifter tick over the video. does the video do the sound any justice?

IDM's what a waste. : )

Addressing the ICP pressure on the scanguage. Its normal for them to bounce around 200-300 psi. AE is the only "true" way to get an accurate ICP reading, I belive its making an average, cause ICP really jumps every time the IPR opens, so AE averages it out. That's my guess on it anyways...

I think the main problem with the OBS wheel downgrade to the GTP38 is that people don't understand what "surge" is. As CSIPSD has stated here with the ATS housing or the ported housing, it will stop surge. Why? Because your not bottle necking your air flow anymore. The reason the Wicked...

That would be correct. The modifications that are done to the pump allow the pump to work better, but its not a modification like the ADR or the Stealth style pumps. Your getting a stock modified pump back not a completely modified pump back. Honestly, These t-500's ramp instantly. I dont'...

are you running stealth Hpop? Bulla had his first one go up on him, brass/bronze was pushing out of the hpop seal into the motor. There is a video of it on youtube someplace. I'd have to find it.

Around 10 failures by my count. I think this is mostly due to using the consumers as testers instead of testing first before releasing. The design seems sound. But I would have stuck with 17° swash plate instead of 18. Volume is king on power. That's the point of duals. t-500 at $349 a...

ZF6 Install

Wow, this thread turned funny. ZF5 vs ZF6 wars! The extra gear really doesn't gain you anything unless you haul SUPER large. I still take off in 2nd while hauling. And, I don't know many 6 speed SD's that get the fuel mileage I get. And they running 3.73's vs my 4.10's

480 is really really really pushing d66 limits. better off with h2e or 38r.

A/C question

Yeah, its very easy to loose vacuum behind the switches. Just a crappy piece of rubber back there. If one of the tabs breaks, or it comes loose.. bad design all around. it works, but its a bad design.

ZF6 Install

I'd stick with rebuilding the zf5. The zf6 has a cooler and stuff you'd have to plumb in and install. And your not really gaining anything over the 5 speed. 1st on the zf5 is now L. and the final drive is almost identical.
