That's the question. Is the 74 vs 68 turbine worth much in egt, spool? Selling the current turbo, I would probably be spending about $400 to make the switch. Just towed, 300 miles yesterday and it is only high EGT when lugging in 4th at 50mph. 1250 or so. Never high anywhere else and clean...- TMCCOY

The 364.5 I got from DP as part of their pre configured kit is the smaller 68mm version with .91AR housing. I suppose it will spool the fastest of any other combo.- TMCCOY

This is the line of thought I had. A bigger turbo includes an element of guessing and it could make towing or stop n' go driving worse. It's a bit of money and effort to take the gamble. Probably leave well enough alone until more 'evidence' is available to support trying it.- TMCCOY

I do not disagree with the leave it alone statement! It is far better than the 38R and work very well! I'm not interested in buying the 366 if it isn't going to clearly improve overall performance over the 364. I got my kit complete from DP tuner which turns out to be the 364.5/68/.91 and it does spool quick empty or towing. EGT's aren't an issue at all. 1023 tuning is the best I've tried. I don't generally drive aggressive so the "lack" of top end power this turbo doesn't have isn't an issue...- TMCCOY

175/80 idle haze

Finished a great weekend and can report that towing was easy. Cruising at 65mph EGT's are 800. Staying in OD and accelerating up a rise around 1700rpm I'll see 1100 degrees while borderline lugging. Definitely no issue on that drive but not nearly as challenging as the PNW Mountain passes or...- TMCCOY
