Tow rig setup
Heres another graph showing a more productive run. It was a good roll into third and shifting into 4th hitting nearly 90mph. The ICP is holding ~2900psi while commanding 3.8 pulse width. Boost is 37psi. I thought I was floored but the PID shows 90% throttle...hmmph.- TMCCOY

Throttle. The dark green shows me lifting. As mentioned, it is not a good run to datalog, I need more space to get a nice WOT pull but will do so and post that chart and in there we can see the PW and ICP correlation with TPS being 100% and mph of the run. Excellent to hear! I wish I had thought through the T4 a bit more before getting the 38R/upipes. It's not bad at all but, I have to believe the 354.5 is better! You were definitely stuffing the throttle to land at 8.5 too.- TMCCOY

Vision diesel is pretty close so I was thinking about talking to them. At least they are in easy driving (1hr) from me for any revisions. I also thought about asking Riffraff if they had a referral. If Jody is in the area I would probably do that. Kennewick is 3.5hrs from me so not too bad...- TMCCOY

FWIW, based on the feedback in this thread, I'm leaving the cast wheel alone. It's balanced, won't give me any problems and it sounds like billet is not a clear improvement thus, not worth the risk of all the work, expense, and not being satisfied anyway. Not going down the T4 route either as...- TMCCOY

I'd get them again but I can't say if they're better than another stick as I have never tried another. Overall, they are quieter than the 170K AD's they replaced, run smoother, provide better mpg and make way more power. I ran the T500 and 38R with stock sticks for a while then did the new...- TMCCOY

Thanks for the feedback everyone. It's surprising to me the general theme in the responses is not much benefit. It also doesn't sound like folks balance the turbo with the new wheel either. It may not be worth the trouble/expense...- TMCCOY

Greetings, I'm interested in changing to the wheel in my 38R with the Riffraff billet wheel. Is this money/effort well spent? Is not balancing the turbo Ok? It's supposed to be drop in as is the WW2, but I'm not certain there isn't risk and there isn't a lot out there I can find through...- TMCCOY
