It will most definately turn better (since 4x4 Excursions were all leaf spring), and ride better. I thinks ours has those clips, but I'm not 100% sure. It could also be different between the rear captains (what we have) or the rear bench.- Fordguy100

A/C expert needed.
It will read that pressure if there is 5oz in there or if its fully charged. OP, you need to get a set of manifold gauges, either buy or rent (I have rented them from vatozone before). This will tell you your low and high side pressures, with only a low side reading from one of those fill cans...- Fordguy100

Power steering GONE
Hydroboost brakes use the powersteering pump's pressure for brake pressure (instead of vacuum), so it goes to reason if the pump goes bad, both steering and brakes will suffer.- Fordguy100

Looking at the bigger chips we have: AM29F200BB -70SE I believe this is a flash memory (chip?) Infineon SAK-C1617CR-LM GA-T "Logic IC" "IC Chip" Where it fried are a bunch of: 2N0615's which are "NXP 74AXP Extremely-Low Voltage Si-Gate CMOS Logic"- Fordguy100

So I'm looking at the logic side and I'm wondering...can the big chips on the other end (away from where it burned), which I would assume are the "programming chips" part of the logic board, be swapped over. Cold weather prep?
Back in the old days, people would mix gasoline with diesel when it got real cold. Mercedes (diesel cars) owner manuals even had the proper ratio's for the temp. But, all you really should need is some anti-gel, and realisticaly the diesel you buy at the pumps should already be treated so it...- Fordguy100

Electric fans?
Shoot guys, I ran my IDI without a fan in Texas for a whole year (that would include summer!) and it did fine. If I had to sit more than a few minutes when it was fully up to temp, water temps would get hotter than I liked (225-230), but would fall back to 190* very fast once driving again. For...- Fordguy100

I wouldnt even be worried about a non bullet proofed one, just know that you should set aside $3500ish for PSE to go through it. If you find a non bullet proofed one for say $16k and a bullet proofed one for $20K, it would probably be a better bet to go for the $16k one.- Fordguy100
