Repairing Step Bars

fixed them on my bosses truck. it is a compression fitting that you install with a special tool. Snap on sells the tool. It is a nut setter I think. You can find them at auto body shops.

I know this is probably a stupid question but if you convert an automatic hub to a manual unit can you do away with the hub vacuum plumbing?

Funny noise out of exhaust?

I know I have an up pipe gasket out and am wait on funds for the bellowed pipes. I will figure it out this weekend. It is easy when you have a truck you can just sit on a creeper and roll around under.

Funny noise out of exhaust?

I can drive my truck in traffic for around 20 minutes when it will start to make a popping noise out of my stacks. It sounds just like you are smacking the bottom of an empty 5 gallon bucket. There is no smoke or weird idling. Does anyone have any ideas?

5ton Buggy Build *Rancid Diesel**

You have started one of my toy plans. I am going to use a Lull frame and drivetrain instead of building a one off frame. What wheels are you going with? Also what platform is going to be on it?

'99-'01 F350 DRW to SRW

Converted my 350 last year. Rear axle is 2" wider on each side than front. All I did was remove the front spacers and slapped some single on. The tires sticking out the rear doesn't bother me seeing as they are 15" wide.

obs cummins swap

The way I see it is you already have the 7.3L in the truck and all you need to do is spend around $2000 on turbo and plumbing and the motor will just bolt right up. On the other hand you have a 12valve that will require you spending around $2000 just to get the parts to mount it into the truck...

Charlotte Craigslist is a good place to find cheap wheels in lots of sizes. 16s are a dime a dozen around here on craigslist. Next year I will be going to 20s and some military tires.

16 inch wheels are cheap and easy to find. It seems like lots of people want the tires but can't use them. Either they are to big or they just want to talk me down to nothing.

I have 4 mud grapplers that are 50% tread. Tread depth gauge reads 10 to 12/32 on all tires. Size is 315/75R16. Need to get rid of these to make room for my 38s. Asking $400 for the set. I can meet half way. Don't know about the shipping charges though.
