    Me poor young fella was hanging on to the the flywheel wrench as hard as he could and the bloody thing popped off and sent head over ass against the garage wall. Lol. he got himself up, dusted himself off and said " Im OK dad" . God love him

    All good. Ran a tap and gotta longer bolt. The sucker is on. Had to put a ratchet strap on the pulley. One on the handle of the flywheel wrench and another on the end of the flywheel wrench were it grabs in the teeth to stop it from jumping off. 212 ft/lb is hard to do on ya own.

    So if i get a M16x1.0 tap, whats my chances of starting a new thread and then picking up on the good thread that is already there. ?? Or is there another way of going about it ?? It looks like the first couple of threads are fubered.

    If you are referring to the key way, then yes it is inline. And did you guys get a longer bolt to get it started

    OK any one know the tap size for the front crank bolt that holds it on. Looks like the start of the thread has been butchered when the balancing was done.

    The fluidamper has the wear sleeve incorporated in it right ?? Slide her on and bolt it up. ??

    38R should come with new orings and bolts. Just wack her in an go. I had my CCV through a catch can and the 38R didnt like it. It would blow a big puff of blue smoke when I took off. Got rid of the catch can and vented straight out the back and problem gone.

    I will hang on to it until Im confident with my new motor then try to off load it. Although there aint much call for them over here. Most probably hang on to it and build her up at a later date.

    got it sorted bruva. I was using a strap on the lift points and it was lifting more from the rear than the front. Ended up grabbing a piece of solid round, feeding it through the eyelets. Put the clamps from my weights bar on each end to stop it from shifting. Got a nice straight lift and out...

    Whats the trick to getting those engine mounts to give up there grip. I have removed the 4 nuts on the underside of the cross member and when I lift the motor the whole front end is coming with it.

    Got it. Had to grind down the outer circumference of the tool. Its was a tad to large.

    can someone please tell me how ya get those bloody quick connect fittings apart. Where the hard fuel line meets the flexible hose at the front of the engine. I have the scissor type tool around the tube and inserted in the fitting but nida.

    was thinking of putting a lift pump before that filter I have and changing the filter to a 12 micron and then through my carter pump into a post pump 2 micron filter then up to the RR.
