Need Part Number
Everyone told me a 7/8 freeze plug when I swapped motors. Bought two different styles and both fell through the hole. Try it before you put the pan on. Just FYI. -
dies when put in gear
I've heard of them dying in reverse with a cracked/loose trans filter. Just a thought.- dthompson

engine seal kit??
I just bought a complete kit from The Little Power Shop. Had everything I needed. -
Mechanical Fuel Pump Plug
Well got a 7/8" freeze plug from oreilly yesterday and it is too small. I'm going to do some measuring but kind of thinking they sold me the wrong size. it fell right through. Seems that the consensus is that its 7/8" so I'll measure what they sold me and go from there.- dthompson

Gasket kit???
I ordered a gasket kit from The Little Power Shop, that is supposed to be for 95-03 7.3. Well I received it and its a Victor Reinz kit but it says 95-99. I see it has the old turbo gasket. What all am I going to not have or will be different. I'm putting together a 2000 motor. -

Engine locked up. Need Help.
I'm going to tear into it ASAP. Hopefully by the weekend. I've pulled motors before but this will be my first 7.3. Any pointers? -

Glow plugs are out. It won't budge either way. Thought might be able to roll it backwards but it ain't gona happen. I would sell it for the right price although it's still on the trailer from me buying it last night. -

Tried turning the motor by hand with a flywheel wrench. No luck. It's locked up tight. Guess will pull it apart and look for a engine. -

Just bought a truck with a locked up engine. Drove through high water and died. Then cranked and locked up. They got the water out of the cylinders and with the glow plugs out it still won't crank. So guess I will pull it out and see what is going on, unless anyone has a better idea. My question... -
