Buying a 6.4???
Ok, long story short, wifey is wanting to trade her car for a 6.4. One is an 08 250 CCSB KR 200k "bone stock". Other is CCLB 450 DRW with 180k. DPF and egr have fallen off. Both look like nice trucks. I'm 7.3 and 6.0 savvy but clueless on a 6.4. What do I need to look for? I have AE so that will...- dthompson

Ok, I decided to toss a manual gauge on it. Plumbed into the port on the oil cooler and truck has 50psi at idle and up to 75 under throttle when warm.- dthompson

Alright, going to try to do lpop in the next few days, but have noticed that when the engine is cold it's worse like almost no pressure even at idle. As it warms up it's better. But even sitting there once you give it any throttle the pressure falls off. Doesn't seem like the pump would have...- dthompson

1997 F-350 XLT Street/Drag Truck
Bump. PCS is basically dialed in. Won some dirt drags last weekend with it. I am having a LPO issue at WOT now. Got a new melling pump that I'm gona throw on. Cash talks, Wifey wants a new house, and I'm looking at a career change. -

Stock as far as I know. It kinda jumps at idle then gradually goes down even just off idle.- dthompson

Ok, truck has 350/400's from unlimited and a srp1 pump but anyway upon acceleration the low pressure oil drops significantly. I know that I've seen others have this issue. Been told possibly blew a galley plug out the rear of the engine. Any other possible options? Thanks guys.- dthompson
