Intermittent white smoke

To my knowledge it is. It was a deal I couldn't pass up but unfortunately I don't know much about its history. The Oasis does show it was replaced ~20k miles ago. What would cause the inconsistency, when my 6.4 cooler went out it was pouring white smoke all the time.

Intermittent white smoke

I just bought a 2005 F350 with 190k miles on it. When I test drove it there were no signs of smoke. I drove it 100 miles yesterday after picking it up and saw no smoke. Today it started and drove fine first thing this morning but after running a few errands it would occasionally have white smoke...

This may be a stupid question, but which sensor is the ECT2 sensor. Is this one of the 3 typically unplugged per SCT for the EGR?

I live in Colorado, I never have issues driving around or towing on flat, it's always driving/pulling trailers over the passes.

I'm glad this thread came back to life. Like I said I was seeing 248* temps every weekend when I towed, even in 50* temps and rain. My tranny has always stayed below 210*. Check out this kit from sinister, lowered temps by 20*+ http://www.mishimoto.com/mishimoto-universal-oil-cooler-kit.html

225 is the highest I've seen so far with it so 20+ degree drop.

248 every time I went over the passes on Colorado, didn't matter if it was 45 and raining the temps would still climb.

It's a bummer it sounds like some of the 6.7's don't control their temps as well as others. I would think a stock '15 truck would pull a 6k lb boat great, but it sounds like mine may have had a factory issue. I put this on and no more temp issues...
