7.3 is getting some love
Mine gets into the power above 2k rpm. Below that it will start getting the EGT up when working/climbing, so in that case I just slow down and drop to 3rd and then bring it back up to 63 or so mph and let it pull. 7.3 is getting some love
Most tow tunes will shift down to get higher RPM to increase boost to keep the temps lower. Remember this isnt your 6.7, it is 20+ year old technology that has limits that 6.7 didnt have. Blower Motor
My truck is older but that is the way it stopped working. Just got one form Autozone and it was an easy install. Check the connector and see if there is power being supplied. If so it is the motor.. One thing is the new one blows much better -
Turbo Flutter
Old school now.. I went with the 38r 10 years ago and have 160/30, I believe, and works great all this time later.. Now with the added power you might be looking at a transmission.. lol -
Heavy Goop under the Valve Covers
You say you were driving it around, how far were the drives? If they were really local maybe you hadn't gotten it warm enough to dry it out. Being in Tx you don't have it really cold like some others where that problem may be more prevalent though.- dmd

Power output of stage 1’s
Tuning and supporting hardware. Many of the larger injectors need a turbo and HPOP upgrade, so just injectors is not all it takes. Now just a "stage 1" you can usually get by with stock everything except exhaust(which the muffler should be replaced with something that isn't so restrictive)...- dmd

This is general, but with stock motor, upgraded hpop, 238/80(detuned, I have 160/30 but 160/80 would be better single shot tunes), 4-in exhaust, cold air intake or intake for 2001(has the tabs that break fixed), larger turbo of some sort(38r was the deal when I built mine, better choices now)...- dmd

ID this oil leak
It is a bear to rebuild but doable.. The front bolts are fun to get to. Yea rebuild and replace all of the gaskets. Clean as much as you can, I mean really clean it while on the truck so the area is really clean, you will be glad you did when you try to put it back on and keep junk out of the...- dmd

It sucks, but this is a dealer problem now. That is why you have a warranty. Document everything in case they have to buy it back. If it is 25 out and it starts, the GPs are working- dmd

Turbo impeller chewed up
IS any of that from a poor air cleaner, or is that all from the turbo destroying itself. Check the intake tubes. -

What to look out for 2011 6.7L 350K miles
LOL.. Will have to look. He is a car dealer and picks these up at auction for amazing prices.. Just like that 6.0 that had we spoke about.. I will see when it arrives, but I know less about 6.7s than I do 6.0s.... Oh well.. maybe more work for ya!! It will be delivered this coming week... -
What to look out for 2011 6.7L 350K miles
Buddy just bought the truck, I haven't looked more than just a photo that looks really nice. It is a 6.7L with 350K miles. F350 XLT dually. Other than that Just pointers on what to look for I don't have a lot more to ask at this time. It is a lot different than my 2000 7.3L -

Hard to turn while parked/while using brake.
I just always let it roll some when doing any turning.. Maybe I have just given up on the issue.. Probably from having cars with no power steering.
