    3 blocks for sale, 2 w/ heads, 1 without

Hey all, it's been a while. I bought these as part of a project that I never got to start. And now with a wife & kids, priorities have shifted. I still have the truck, but it will no longer be in my plans to even think about chasing HP. So, here they are: Just east of Lancaster, PA. 17508...

What is your next planned modification

I got mine at a local independant auto parts store. Just about any place should carry it. Napa or CQ for sure.

What is your next planned modification

Nickle-copper brake lines This mod wasn't exactly planned. Went to move the truck so a guy could seal the driveway, and the pedal went straight to the floor. This nickle-copper tubing is AWESOME. Flares sooo easily, and without splitting. Bends by hand on the bench or on the truck. Really nice...

What is your next planned modification

Ever pressurize a garden hose with the end blocked (nozzle closed)? Ever see a firehose when it gets pressurized? They both straighten. Yes, they both still can flex, but not near like what they can when not pressurized. Garden hoses are probably around 15-30 psi. Fire hoses are probably around...

What is your next planned modification

Sounds like a good idea. But: flexible hoses tend to straighten themselves when under pressure. Don't be too surprised if you find rub marks on the hoses in places you didn't expect there to be any contact. Hydraulic hoses do the same thing, and they're typically rated at 2500-3000psi working...

    Clean 2001 F250 2wd auto PSD, 163kmi, $13k

One of my younger brothers is selling his truck. Knowing him; cash talks, and loudly. http://modesto.craigslist.org/cto/3641267359.html He likes the truck a lot, but new baby takes priority.

safe to drive my obs w/ the hubs locked?

I leave them unlocked unless I suspect I'm going to need 4x4. Less wear & tear that way (parts ain't cheap), and less fuel that way (fuel ain't cheap). If you're prowling around town looking for someone to play around with, then go ahead and leave them locked. But be prepared to be replacing...

    Loud isspro EV2's

BINGO! I have one of the beta test fuel pressure gauges, and it's been like that since new. But it hasn't gotten any louder.

The stupidest mistake of my life

Red = offroad use only (no road taxes paid on it). ULSD = Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (<5ppm sulfur IIRC). LSD = Low Sulfur Diesel (<500ppm sulfur IIRC). Red diesel is usually ULSD here in the states. I think there are still a few fuel dealers that will sell dyed LSD, but not a lot. With the Tier4...

    Sound Deadners

I did mine. Wasn't too bad. The hardest part was working with your arms in the air for a long time to do the ceiling.

    Motor runs with IPR unplugged

I was about ready to ask the same questions. Especially about the shaft seal.

to solder or not to solder???

If you're going to tap into a wire without cutting it, I only solder. For temporary installations, you can use those little splice connectors that you install with pliers, but for anything even close to permanent, solder it. Shrink wrap if you can, but otherwise a butt load of electrical tape...

to solder or not to solder???

I've done it both ways, and had very good results both ways when I take the time to do it right. If I just hurry up and do a sloppy job, they both fail pretty quickly. I had a friend in college that refused to use crimp connectors because they always came apart on him. I told him it was because...

    Truck dies when smogging

You say you tried 'several ways', care to list them? My suggestions: -Hold the engine at about 2k-2500RPM and connect. If it drops power momentarily, it may be able to recover before the engine stops rotating. -Plug it in, then key on and start the engine. If you don't get the WIF light when...

    3rd brake light help!!

I had to get my truck inspected since I moved to PA. The 3rd brake light and the cargo lights have not worked since I bought the truck in 2006. I've tried usually at least once a year to get the housing or lens out to replace the bulbs, but couldn't get either off. The inspection place got the...

Propain injected stacks (flame thrower stacks) need info

The 555 is a little chip. The squiggly lines are resistors. The one set of parallel lines is a capacitor. The circle with three lines going to it is a transistor. The big circle with a + and a - symbol is an ignition coil. The set of parallel lines in decreasing size is ground (negative). The...

    TTB Bearing retainers

I never had my old TTB axle apart. Is it like the D60 retainer, a piece of stamped metal that goes over the nut and has a castle for the cotter pin? If so, check a Lowes or Truevalue hardware. They usually have something like that in tbeir specialty hardware area.
