    It's the elm 327 mini, made by konnwei. I did test it with Car Diagnostic Pro (because it won't work with Car Gauge Pro), and it failed some tests. I guess not fully obd2 compliant.....was gonna buy the bafx one instead.

    Yes, although I never got it set up right. The only gauge responses it showed were revs and boost, I think. I put all the gauges on screen for injector pressure etc, but they all read zero, even when the truck ran fine - before torque shut the motor off.

    Ok so I hooked up their batteries again, no start. It's the same because it'll run for a couple seconds very rough and set the cel. Then quit. It's cold but I had it also plugged in for three hours. I guess whatever happened had now become permanent........I'll leave it plugged in overnight see...

    I tried a buddy's Innovo scanner, showed nothing. I've ordered the Bluetooth dongle to use with my android - should be here in the next week or so :) I didn't know I could monitor icp on it, that'll be great! I'll learn the device and report back. Thanks again for all your input!

    Thanks all for this info, really appreciate all the input! Justin, yes the hpop level is good before starting. Although I've just noticed the icp plug is full of oil! But if I unplug it, it makes no difference to the truck starting.....

    So, volts are at 12.45 first, they drop to 11.7 when the key is turned on to warm up the glowplugs. It then drops to 10.54 when cranking.......?

    Yep my last 01 was an excellent cold starter. Never needed plugging in and fired first time, every time. I had a 99 before that which was the best. Left it for a week once in -2f and it fired right up smooth....i want to try to make this one as good eventually :)
