For example we just took a set of poorly made bars off my friends truck because of how stiff the ride was. Stuck some OUO bars back on the truck and everybody is happy now.
I just helped a friend of mine take off his existing traction bars that came with his truck and we installed a set of OUO ones. He couldn't believe how much better the ride quality is with the new bars. It is so hard to convey to someone how nice and well put together OUO's kit is. I have had...
I know they are pretty good about swapping parts out to make it work. Front mount should be the same the rear I am not sure. Give Jared a call and ask him. He should be able to help you out.
Change out the front end to an 05+ axle with coils and buy some OUO front adjustable link arms and move the front axle forward with them.
Just the improved turning radius is worth it to do it...
Here are some nice adjustable top plates for you...
If you don't have a high steer knuckle I would go that route before running hydro assist.
My truck at 12" of lift on 40s could steer easier than when it was on 6" of lift on 37s. Just by improving the steering geometry.
Its expensive to do hydro assist right. Your pump on your truck is a...
I would look at your oil cooler, outside of the radiator is probably plugged full of crap, and maybe even your fan clutch needs to be replaced.... Can you hear the fan clutch engage.
Inexpensive traction bars could fix some of that but they also can come at a price. For example certain ones will make the truck ride stiffer in the rear. Make it harder for the leaf springs to flex and also limit the amount of travel. If you spend a little bit more you end up with a set that...
Really at 8" on these newer trucks the front shaft is at a bind. EDIT!
Give Dave a call at One Up Offroad he has a custom shaft that will work for your truck.
I am not sure yet. I need to go drive one. I have had people with older CCLB trucks tell me that their truck does not bounce at 45 and then I go for a ride with them and it actually does bounce at 45 mph. They just never really noticed it...LOL.
It wouldn't surprise me if the newer trucks...
I have 5" on my setup. It has a very nice sound to it. :) I had 4" before and it does sound better with 5. My truck is sound deadened so I didn't notice any more cab noise.
I was able to fit my 5" all around all the crap under my truck :)
