Great, now we need 4 engines. Stock, stock with coatings and ring, SOA pistons and this other company... With stock everything including tuning, and modified injectors, turbo and tuning.

Man, your life sounds awesome! I would love to be able to play with trucks, a dyno, etc... I know that's the glory stuff and work needs to be put in, but on the surface that sounds dreamy! This brings up a couple points and questions. I'm almost positive they live tuned it on sight for...

I guess I should revisit the site. I thought they had 2 machines, same mine, that they rebuilt the engines at the same time. Only difference was the pistons and any variable like how close they held tolerance, but essentially the same. I thought after something like 12k? hours run time...

Okay. I'm not sure why you are saying Strawman, but I'm probably overlooking what you were thinking. For the record, I never tried to attack or discredit anyone, I was simply giving my take. If you are an individual or company that spends big sums of money to create something, only to get no...

I still wish I could have found the issue also. That was probably 8 years ago and I still think about it 🤣 I'm not sure how it being tunes holds you back though. Unless you were thinking of swapping PCM? I will say I tried a different PCM in mine and nothing changed. For whatever that's worth...

If you want a deep dive check out the Polyquad Cylinder Head design. David Vizard was one designer of it. The idea is to create swirl in cylinder for better mixture and distribution. Don't get hung up thinking the air in a cylinder is just hanging out. There's a lot happening at a high rate of...

I agree. Customer gets to choose. If they want to leave it unplugged, I'd suggest doing something so in the future someone doesn't see it, plug it in and create the issues. That happened to my Landscaper... My '05 I left the EGR in the valley so I didn't get a code. I was running an S3R so it...

It's running off an inferred EBP table. I can't tell you how to fix it, but I'm going to say something with that circuit is shorted, broken wire, ect... I traced mine back to something under the dash, at least that's where I was at. Never did actually fix it so I don't have an ending to my story...

I'll have to look for that 6.7 vid. Did SOA put it out? Or was it someone else? That 6.3 is always an engine I had question about. Seems like a lot of money and work to go through to put a 6.4 crank in. And I don't think it's even for the reason most probably think. 6.0 and 6.4 have the same...

What does it do with the EBP unplugged? I had an issue with an '06 Auto, traced it all the way to the resistance? I think at the EBP plug would change depending on if the dome light was on or not. I never did find the short, he just ran with it unplugged. Landscaper truck.

I can see how that wasn't clear. In a communist society there's no incentive to excel at anything. You can't work your way up a ladder, increase pay, invent something new and retire on the idea etc... If they had no avenue to reap the benefits of their engineering and problem solving, they...

I don't think you can really say $3k for dimples. It's not really the dimples that drive the cost, it's all the engineering and testing behind the size, pattern, placement, etc... of said dimples. Look to the medical industry, they have so many years to charge more to recoup the development...

Great, another carrot! From what I've heard Lenny is making huge progress with nozzles. I've seen him sigh when someone says 7.3 though :ROFLMAO: New injectors in the works, better nozzles, new HPOP, new turbos by years end... 7.3 love

Way to dangle the carrot. Now we have questions... And the injection system holds back rpm and HP right? It can make good power until PW is limited by RPM. Are these new in the works injectors going to increase usable RPM like we were discussing here? Not destroying conn rods with big torque...

I believe the 7.3 is basically the same on air flow as a stock 12v. Numbers I find are 140-150 cfm @28" for a 12v, and 110-115 cfm @28" for a 7.3. So average 12v over 2 revs hitting all 6 cylinders means 840-900 cfm, and 7.3 over 8 cylinders moves 880-920. I don't know about swirl, and I know...

Seeing that the "pump" camshaft spins at half crank speed, and Charles mentioned 50° of advance (although that seems entirely too much?) that translates into 25° BTDC of crankshaft for camshaft for lobe start. Not taking into account any initial ramp or delay. Is 60% of injection BTDC a decent...

When creating the pump housing, would it utilize tappets, pushrods and rockers? Roller followers like MOD motors? My thought being rocker ratio could be adjusted to create the necessary plunger travel for the application, and may help utilize existing cam lobe geometry. That's beyond me though...

Oh man! After reading many a Charles post over the years, I had a giddy moment to see a new one! This one doesn't disappoint either... I'm following, and I'm imagining the potential. I have a few thoughts/questions I'm imagining you are talking a 'housing' with 4 cam lobes driving 8 unit pumps...

I can't help you with pictures or experience. David Vizard has some books on it and the theory behind it though. Video's on youtube also.
