6.4 Rebuild - Valvetrain Movement ('Lift') - Very Little
I have to disagree with both you guys, the rockers will actuate and the valves will open without oil in the lifters, not fully but will obviously cycle up and down... if you read what he said, he said no movement whatsoever and you guys have got to know that there is no need for a drastically... -
No start after motor swap
If your getting some smoke then you must be hearing the injectors start to click and inject some fuel, but simple trick to help worn injectors and or low compression is to plug the block heater in and come back in a few hours and give it another shot, not all starting fluid is the same we like...- Bgdiesel

238/80's smoking on cold start
Additional timing at idle from your tuner will help prevent the cold startup smoke and haze. Of course go through and check over your glow plug system for correct operation.. also Are you running any oil and or fuel additives? What brand oil. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- Bgdiesel

I am running swamps stage 2, they are a lot cheaper than what they use to be, and the Crutchfield guy is very busy but quoted me a rough estimate of $4,000 minimum and was in no rush in getting them turned around. We don't degree any of them as of Rt now because of the stock cam gear design and from what we have seen they should not be having piston to valve contact. Yes sir and we have 1 going in a an 11 6.7 Powerstroke and a 16 dmax in the shop now, so we see what kind of results those yield, both are stock fuel other than the 6.7 having a 15 hpfp. We did a back to back comparison on our race truck with his cam and from the calculator picked up over 200hp over our colt cam in our 7.3 We experienced far better spool up and was much cleaner down track and put us at 1038hp fuel only on the calculator. Yes and no, obviously it's not the optimum combination but they are so much cheaper to upgrade and there is a ton of them out there so it is more affordable for people to put some money in them and I feel like there was still a lot left on the table with them, we are making 1040hp on fuel only...- Bgdiesel

No, I already had an 88mm Garrett on the race truck, the 92mm Garrett I got from you will be put it on as a big secondary charger on one of our street trucks. Currently it stays in the race trailer as the backup for the race truck though. It will spool it up pretty good Sent from my iPhone...- Bgdiesel

Well I have ran both an 80 and a 76mm with the 96 turbine with PIS 300/400's on my street truck and they really made noticeably more unrestricted power compared to the smaller turbines, for racing I would recommend the bigger turbine, we went [email protected] with the s480 w/96 turbine, now we run...- Bgdiesel

Depends alittle on the rest of your setup and what you use the truck for, smaller turbine should be alittle less laggy for you, the 88/96 will let the engine breath at higher rpm and not be choked down, but the 92 wheel shouldn't be too restrictive at all.
