really coming along. I am talking to the guys at carson stauffer diesel about building me the motor with adapter plates and everything i will need to bolt it right to a 4r100. Nice numbers for the money. How did you get ahold of a DT360 for so little? Did it need a rebuild? They go for 2k plus used with 30k miles on them in the lovely state of FL. They are a dime a dozen as well!!! Also i just got your PM and will keep in touch. If the build you did is as...- Rockaholic

67 F100 - DT360 Swap?
How much room did you have and what transmission did you use? I am really looking forward to doing this. Even a basic DT360 just swapped in as a DD, i could get 25mpg plus and have something unique!- Rockaholic

Just read this entire thread. WOW! I love the build! Debating on doing a swap into my 67 f100 highboy 4x4. Just unsure on room under the hood, i assumed it was more than the OBS but some are telling me it isnt. I just see a problem with the transmission. 67 F100 - DT360 Swap?
Can you give me the measurements you got for your truck? Want to compare to mine.I thought we had more room under our hoods than a newer OBS (92-97) IDI or PS truck. I see a couple guys doing swaps in them with little to no trimming other than for the transmission.- Rockaholic

I am currently doing the same thing. I have a 1967 F100 single cab short bed original 4x4 swb. It is not in the condition yours is in but it will be a "sleeper" in a sense.
